Breakfast:

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day as we enjoy it with our family, spouse and kids. Breakfast is also very important in maintaining our health as this will help to prevent heart disease and cancer. If you are vegetarian or a vegan, then this diet plan can be very helpful for you.

Foods to eat:

Peanut butter and banana sandwich.

  1. Scrambled or fried eggs with vegetables
  2. Oats (1/2 cup)
  3. Banana slices or any other fruit[Mango/Apple /Orange Cucumber ] you like to have for breakfast.
  4. Almonds (30 grams)
  5. Milk – 1 cup (preferably skimmed)

Lunch:

It is extremely important to ensure that you have enough protein and calcium intake on a daily basis, as well as vitamins B12 and D, folate, omega-3 fatty acids, zinc and iron.     Dinner:

    • 2 cups of brown rice or quinoa (a good source of protein)

    Snack:

    A bowl of oats and milk as a snack between lunch and dinner is ideal. You can also have a bowl of oats with some fruits for breakfast and another one for lunch.

    For a healthy and balanced diet, eat a wide variety of foods. Include a variety of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans and seeds. Eat lean sources of protein such as beans and lentils, fish, poultry and eggs. Avoid trans fats found in processed foods.

    Drink plenty of water every day. This helps prevent constipation and other digestive ailments that can be common when eating a low fiber diet.

    Avoid eating large amounts of fatty foods or high saturated fat meals like fried chicken or hamburgers with sides of fries or potato salad. Instead eat small portions of lean meats or fish instead.
